For this weeks forum we were pleased to have Matthew Watson who is a MuE alum from ’96 currently working at Texas Instruments. His career has also spanned through Motorola and Dolby, where he has helped design audio and video tech that is still in use by broadcasters everywhere.

Chris Spahr came in to talk about Neumann & Sennheiser’s digital microphone technology. We followed up with studio session to compare the Neumann K 103D (digital microphone), the K103 (standard analog), Neumann U 67, and the Neumann D-01 (digital microphone):  

James Feddeck, Assistant Music Director of the Cleveland Orchestra, will be meeting with us tomorrow.  Please come prepared with ideas for ways we can collaborate down the road as we look to combine music and technology in creative ways!

Thats right, Paul Trust is back and doing another forum this year so be excited. He did a great forum last year, followed by a really interesting master class, and word on the street is he may be doing another master class this time. This should be another good one folks.

Mr. Schreier has been a premier sound designer on Broadway for years, for shows like The Merchant of Venice starring Al Pacino, and he will be here this friday to speak to students. This is an invaluable opportunity for all MuEs so be sure to stop by.
