The Frost School of Music is proud to host Ableton for the Ableton Experience, a day and evening of student workshops and public presentations held at the UM campus in Coral Gables. Students are invited to join Ableton representatives and Certified Trainers for an afternoon of break-out sessions exploring composition, sound design, production techniques and performance utilizing Ableton Live, Max for Live and Push. Day time activities will be followed by a free evening presentation open to the public, featuring performances, tips and tricks and unique approaches for music-making from artists and Ableton experts. Special guests for the UM event include Ableton Certified Trainer Wyatt Meagher and Ableton Certfied Trainer Joey Paranoia.

Wyatt Meagher is an Ableton Certified Trainer, producer, performer, and teacher based out of Miami, Florida. Also known as Y Diz, he produces the band Telekinetic Walrus. Wyatt organizes the Miami Ableton Live user group, specializes in clinics and workshops for Ableton and has taught at the Miami Conservatory of Music. He also gives private lessons to a range of clients, from Ableton beginners to Grammy nominated artists.

Joey Paranoia  a.k.a The Soon is an Ableton Certified Trainer, music producer, touring dj, record label owner based out of Orlando, Florida.He has performed at such festivals as Electric Daisy Carnival, Starscape, and Identity Fest. Joey heads the Orlando Ableton user group, has led multiple Ableton workshops and has taught on the university level for many years. He gives private and group lessons in Orlando, Tampa, and Miami.His record label ” The Soon Music ” has broke the Beatport Top 100 in multiple genres and has been featured in independent films.

The events will start in Volpe 103 and may branch out to the studio and MuE classroom as the night goes on.
