Graduate Research
To fulfill the Master of Science degree requirements, every graduate student must conduct original research, author a research paper, and defend his/her work before a thesis committee. This on-line archive contains examples of research projects completed by these students. A wide range of topics are studied, ranging from experiments in perceptual codec theory, to new methods of music synthesis. Students who complete this project have demonstrated their ability to work at the cutting edge of the audio field, and are prepared to enter the industry as engineers, or to pursue doctoral work.
