PAUL GRIFFITH is the Director of Recording Services for the University of Miami School of Music, holding a B.M. from the University of Miami in Music Engineering Technology. Mr. Griffith has held a number of audio-related positions, including staff recording engineer with DEOrecordings in Wisla, Poland; product specialist for Micro Technology Unlimited in Raleigh, NC; mastering engineer with P&A Audio in Gdansk, Poland; and lecturer/research assistant for the Technical University of Gdansk. His freelance engineering work has taken him to numerous locations across the United States and Poland. In addition to recording, mixing, editing and/or mastering numerous albums in various genres, he has written technical manuals, worked on the development of digital audio workstation software, edited and mixed both concerts and commercials for television and radio, designed recording studio facilities, and provided audio consultation for numerous churches, synagogues, and other facilities. Mr. Griffith was the Recording Engineering Mentor with the Hot Springs Music Festival, Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, for the 1999-2006 seasons.

Recent projects include Louis Moreau Gottschalk: A Montevideu, 2me Symphonie romantique, with the Hot Springs Music Festival Orchestra, Richard Rosenberg conducting; Dave Brubeck: Songs, featuring Dave Brubeck on piano and tenor John De Haan; What Dreams May Come, with the University of Miami Chorale, Jo-Michael Scheibe conducting; and the Grammy-nominated Three Romances, featuring the University of MiamiÕs Concert Jazz Band with Maria Schneider, conducting.

Mr. Griffith has been a member of the Audio Engineering Society since 1986.
