AES and the University of Miami:
For decades, the University of Miami has represented a dominating force in taking home awards for many of the awards offered by the AES Committee. Each year, a large group of student-members voyage out to the AES Convention; some students have poster presentations, some have recordings they’ve entered into the recording competition, and some to just peruse the Exhibition hall. Regardless of motive, the UM AES Chapter always makes the best of this annual journey.
AES 127
This year, the convention will be held from October 9th-12th, and will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, NY. The UM Chapter will have a table set up at the conference, so feel free to come by and say hello!
MUE Party 2009
Every year, a gathering is organized for all Music Engineers and Audio Engineers from present and past years during the AES Conference weekend. The party is a great time for students and alumni to meet and make contacts within the Pro-Audio Industry. This year, the MUE Party will be held at Crudo Restaurant and Bar, located at 235 W 35th St. New York, NY, 10001. The party this year will start around 10:30pm and last for a few hours. Any University of Miami alum are welcome to stop by as well, so come on by and join the festivities.
